Phone film trailer…

In a recent article… I wrote about a film shot entirely on cellphones. Well, this just came through to my inbox:

DV8 Films in Johannesburg, South Africa, have released the trailer for SMS Sugar Man, the first feature film in the world to be shot entirely on cellphones.

Update: Having just watched the trailer, I stand by what I said earlier about the inferior quality of the footage being visibly distracting. I notice that the grading is inconsistent, which may just be because they didn’t grade it; however I suspect it’s because the footage would be too heavily compressed to allow for any grading latitude whatsoever.
